Doing the math I found out with the exchange rate at 85 cents on the dollar we are paying about 3.55 per US gallon. Which is darn close to SoCal rates. I used to bitch and whine about gas prices when they were not comparable -.89 cents in 2001 in the States, and I am sure we were paying between 65 and 70 cents per litre. At 3.78 litres per gallon- we were most definitely paying more.
Gas here is 1.08 a litre and climbing. It is a good thing it is summer and the kids can ride their bikes.
